New iPod Hard disk

My old iPod’s hard drive is broken. Here in the Netherlands a new hard drive for a iPod is about 70,- euro’s. Now on eBay (again) I found one for 10,- US dollars! Incl. shipment it’s 25,- dollars. Real cool. Now I have a iPod nano and a 20BG ;) If you are looking for a iPod disk, just browse eBay! I bought mine from this guy, will tell here if it arrived and if it worked. It is a used disk, so I’ll have to test it, but I’ve got hope ;)

Update: (23 jan 2007) It hasn’t arrived yet, but is has been send. I think that Dutch customs has it now… :(

Update: (24 jan 2007) It has arrived! Long live ebay! Tomorrow I will install it and check if it’s working or not. There is hope again!

Update: (25 jan 2007) I’ve installed the new one, but it doesn’t work. Have to test the disk more…

Waiting for my Juicebox

juicebox.jpgJust bought a Juicebox (Mattel) from e-bay for $24,00 (incl. shipping!) and I’m waiting for it to arrive. It’s a portable video player for kids (think this was never on the European market?), but most of the big kids around internet are hacking the Juiceboxes into all kind of gadgets. Just google for Juicebox hacks and see ;) Take a look at the links on this page. Lets see… What are we going to build from it. AI ;)

Update: (16 jan 2007) It has arrived! eBay rules! Search for JuiceBox there.

Geeky nerd

What this guy does with hardware! Real cool! He fiddles with working and broken hardware, writes his own software till it does what he wants. He runs Linux on a childrens toy computer and attached a serial mouse. (Did I mention that the toy didn’t had a serial port on it?!) This guy is a real hacker!
